To our amazing patients,
First, know that you are missed, and we are ever so grateful for your return. We offer our thoughts and prayers for anyone close to you who has been impacted physically, and/or financially by the virus. Even though we are thrilled to see you, we will refrain from handshakes and hugs. Your presence is the best welcome ever!
(Note: Even though the video has the Aspen Ridge Dental logo in the middle, everything we say in the video applies to our Priority Dental practice, also.)
As Priority Dental opens for elective dental procedures, we want you to know how we are approaching the new normal when we open for elective dental treatment. It is important for you to know that Priority Dental has always exceeded the guidelines for infection control, and we will continue implementing these protocols for COVID-19 and beyond. Upon your arrival, we will continue to take your temperature for everyone’s safety. Secondly, please be prepared for a pre-procedural rinse with betadine, an antiseptic mouthwash. Thirdly, you may already be familiar with the Isolite appliance. If not, it’s an appliance that serves as a bite-block, suction, and isolation device all-in-one. The main purpose of this device is to reduce aerosols during your dental procedures.
We will open our waiting room on a limited basis and incorporate social distancing guidelines. However, please recognize the importance of attending your appointment alone, or at least having your companion or driver wait for you in the car. Extra people in the dental office compromises everyone. We ask that all parties have their smartphone handy as this will help considerably.
We also will request everyone’s patience during the new norm. Initially, your appointments may take more time as we try to prevent patient traffic congestion inside our office. We will also request your understanding as we attempt to accommodate patients with the most urgent dental needs. Imagine attempting to reschedule all of the appointments for our three doctors and four hygienists….we will get there!
Even though we are trying to make this transition as smooth as possible, there will undoubtedly be some frustration. Know that each of our opinions of the entire situation will not change the laws and rules that we are asked to operate under for everyone’s safety, so we are going to keep the conversation about you, your dental health, and how to help you reach your dental health goals.
We are looking so forward to seeing you in the future.
Warm Regards,
Austin L. Baker, DDS
